SplitWing Mesh Body
Description
This ultralight bug shelter was designed to mesh (sorry) perfectly with our SplitWing Tarp, but it works splendidly on its own or with other tarps. It stays attached to the SplitWing so it pitches dry every time and protects the user from bugs and anything else you don't want sharing your tent with you. With straight zippers to increase durability, strong PE-coated 20D ripstop floor fabric, and spare zipper sliders with our zipper garage, the SplitWing Mesh Body is a perfect complement to the SplitWing and is designed to last through the rigors of a thru-hike and beyond.
The mesh body is also available as part of the SplitWing Tent Bundle at a discount.

What is the SplitWing Mesh Body’s Intended Use?
The SplitWing Mesh Body is a fully enclosed mesh inner tent designed to fit our SplitWing Tarp. It’s included as part of the SplitWing Shelter Bundle. It’s made to provide bug protection when using the SplitWing or other single-wall tarp shelter.
Can the SplitWing Mesh Body be used with other tarps besides the SplitWing?
It sure can! It’s a great all-around bug insert. It works great with the NFT, and it has three connection points along the ridge seam, so it can easily be rigged to fit just about any tarp on the market, whether or not it’s a SlingFin. If you’re planning on using the SplitWing Mesh Body with the NFT, we have some adjustable pre-cut attachment cords that will make setup seamless.
Can I pitch the Mesh Body by itself?
Yes, for buggy conditions in stable weather, you can set up just the mesh body for stargazing. The mesh body comes with additional guylines with pre-attached o-rings for setting it up by itself.
Can I set up the SplitWing Mesh Body without trekking poles?
