The 2Lite Trek is the same as our bestselling 2Lite tent, but it uses adjustable trekking poles instead of a head pole to reduce the trail weight to a scant 2lb 6oz. It is identical in every other way to the standard 2Lite.
With an extremely stable non-freestanding design, it's one of the strongest sub-3 pound tents on the market. The simple pole structure reduces pole weight, allowing us to add livability features like double doors and giant vestibules while keeping the weight low.
The 2Lite Trek is meant for people who move fast, or who want to lighten their pack without sacrificing comfort in the backcountry. When efficiency and weight savings are paramount, the 2Lite Trek delivers. Weighing in at 2 lbs 6 oz (included DAC stakes add 2oz), the 2Lite Trek still manages to create enough space for 2 people to sit up comfortably inside. The ergonomic footprint shape increases space at the torso and elbows, making the tent feel much roomier than its 28 square feet.
Short 12" pole segments allow the 2Lite Trek to fit almost anywhere, making it ideal for thru-hiking or any discipline in which you'll be bringing trekking poles and packed size is an important consideration.
The available 2Lite Trek -> 2Lite conversion kit allows you to pitch your 2Lite Trek with a head pole instead of trekking poles, giving you more versatility for activities other than backpacking.
