The HardShell has been tested on the largest mountains across the globe, serving even as a wind block for other tents. It goes up quickly and intuitively, even in harsh conditions, thanks to four equal-length poles and a WebTruss™ system. It includes a two-pole High Wind Kit that adds even more strength when the weather turns ugly. The WebTruss™ effectively locks the poles in place, independent of the tent and fly, giving the structure maximum strength with or without the tent body. The HardShell is an ideal basecamp or mid-mountain shelter for four people, or three plus plenty of gear.
